Weekly Focal Point
“The thing about meditation is: You become more and more you.”
~ David Lynch ~
It is all too often that we find ourselves submerged in the busy world around us. We become easily distracted with the less important things and lose sight of the things which add value to our lives. To sit quietly and allow for the universe to guide and direct my thinking is one of the more beautiful gifts that life has to offer. In a meditative state, we converse with our Higher Power and ask for direction. We then utilize the silence to listen. Sometimes answers may find you quickly and sometimes it might take time. When our minds become tangled, we look to meditation to untie the knot. It is through meditation that we experience growth alongside our Higher Power. There is no right or wrong way to meditate, just so long as we practice at it.
Questions for Our Consideration
- Have I paused and asked my Higher Power for direction?
- Do I take time during my day to sit quietly?
- Have I developed my own style of meditation that works best for me?
