Weekly Focal Point
“Learn to face things as they come, and when they come, with calm deliberation. We may not be able to control events, but we can control our attitudes toward them.”
One Day At A Time Series
We come together in an Al-Anon group for the purpose of sharing experience, strength and hope with each other. This we do by attending meetings, discussing, listening, counseling, telephoning each other for comfort and renewal of confidence. It is wonderful to know that this close communication, this keeping in touch, is not limited to the members of a single group; it embraces the whole world!
3 C’s of Al-Anon
- We didn’t CAUSE it
- We can’t CONTROL it
- We can’t CURE it
AND WE WON’T CONTRIBUTE TO IT TODAY
Considerations for Us
- Am I open to the fellowship of family recovery to support me? Have I placed myself in a position to be open and transparent about my current experience?
- Have I attempted to offer fellowship and kindness to others struggling in family recovery today? In what ways am I willing to reach out to others and offer support today?
